The problem

The dominant accounting products are built for many countries and localised for Australia afterwards. BAS, GST and ATO lodgement are add-ons to a general model rather than the centre of it.

What we built

Australian obligations as the primary model, with bank feeds, invoicing and reconciliation arranged around them. Data residency is a constraint of the design, which matters for CDR evidence.

What it takes from the platform

Identity and billing from the platform. Accounting logic, bank connections and ATO integration are its own, and are subject to external accreditation the platform is not part of.
